ALKAMIX™ MB-6006

About
ALKAMIX™ MB-6006 is a processing aid masterbatch based on a fluoropolymer compound at a concentration of 5 percent. ALKAMIX™ MB-6006 can be added to linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) during extrusion to eliminate melt fracture (“Sharkskin”) type extrusion defects. The level required will vary according to extrusion equipment and type of LLDPE being used, however the recommended addition level is between 1 and 2 percent. ALKAMIX MB6006 is compatible with the process aid used in “Alkatuff” film polymers. The maximum level of addition of ALKAMIX™MB-6006 based on both good manufacturing practice and to ensure conformance to the requirements to the United States Food and Drug Administration Regulations CFR21 is 4 percent, when added to a polyethylene formulation free of any other additives. The suitability of finished articles manufactured using this material as a component, and the observance of given limitations, must be verified by the converter for each application to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. An overall migration limit may apply to the finished article.&&
