Akestra™ is a sparkling glass-like, heat resistant polyester that enables optimization and diversification of PET packaging production lines. Akestra™ is a sustainable material that enables food serving in a new, safe and visually appealing container that also improves brand security as brand owners can feel 100% secure in serving their products in Akestra™ packaging. Akestra™ is the ultimate solution in the applications witth the highest demand when it comes to heat resistance in the Akestra range. Akestra™ 110 works excellent by its own in extrusion, injection and injection blow moulding but can also be used together with for example recycled PET in co-extrusion or co-injection to create a A/B/A structure (80% R-PET, 20% Akestra™ 110) giving a material, based on 80% recycled material with excellent transparency and a heat resistance up to 85°C ideal for hotfil and hot food serving applications.&&
