ALCUDIA® 3802-N is a black medium density compound, designed to meet the requirements for telecommunication and power cables. The outstanding feature of this product is its very good mechanical properties, its excellent stress cracking resistance and good extrudability. It contains well dispersed carbon black and antioxidant in order to ensure UV radiation resistance and thermal ageing respectively. TYPICAL APPLICATIONS Black jacketing of telecommunication and power cables. The ALCUDIA® 3802-N extrusion conditions depend on the type of equipment used. The recommended melt temperature to obtain the optimum results is 215°C – 220°C, together with the use of a screw L/D: 20 and compression rate: 4:1. ALCUDIA® 3802-N meets the following specifications: ISO 1872 PE KHC 40T006/012; ASTM D 1248 II, C5, Grade J5; NF C 32-060 GE2. ALCUDIA® 3802N black compound is a high density polyethylene hexene copolymer of high molecular weight mainly designed for the extrusion of microirrigations tapes. The combination of the antioxidant system and minimum of 2.0 % well dispersed carbon black used in ALCUDIA® 3802N provides an excellent protection against thermal oxidation during processing and good long-term thermal stability and UV resistance. Because other good mechanical properties and their characteristics, and an excellent ESCR resistance the polyethylene black compound ALCUDIA® 3802N, is designed to produce: TYPICAL APPLICATIONS Black microirrigation tapes. Fittings and valves. Recommended melt temperature range 190 – 210 °C. Processing conditions should be optimised for each production line.&& |
