DuPont™ Elvaloy® 4170 is a Reactive Elastomeric Terpolymer (RET) that can be used to modify the properties of asphalt binder used in paving. Elvaloy® 4170 is the most chemically reactive of the terpolymers manufactured by DuPont for use with asphalt. It is effective when used with a wide range of asphalts, at mix levels as low as 0.5%, and is rarely used over 2.5% Resulting polymer modified asphalt (PMA) is very stable, and can be stored for extended periods.&&
