Felix Compounds Felprene TPR

About
Felprenes have a very good resistance to abrasion and an exceptional flexibility at low temperatures. The vast range of additives and olefins incorporated in our compounds has allowed us to create a large diversity of products that can replace either PVC elastomers in the shoe industry or natural rubber in the waterproof joints industy. Some similar products are Santoprene (TPV) and Monprene. Their affinity for PS, ABS or SAN make the Felprene class of Thermoplastic Elastomers an alternative to be considered in the choice of materials for casting and co-extrusion. We offer an extensive array of colors and hardness factors. Felprenes are products that have SBS as the base ingredient, a molecule made up of a supple butadiene segment joined by two hard segments of styrene at its extremities. The supple segment gives the product its elastomeric properties, whereas the rigid segments create bridges amongst the molecules in the cooling phase, thus creating a three dimensional network. The styrene segments are what give the material its thermoplastic properties.&&
