| KETJENFLEX® 8 is a toluene sulfonamide based additive used in Plastics, Inks, Adhesives and Coatings. Description and Application KETJENFLEX® 8 is used as a premium plasticizing additive in Plastics, Ink, Adhesive and Coating formulations. Due to its high solvation power KETJENFLEX® 8 effectively plasticizes many resin systems including nitrocellulose, polyamide, PVAC, rosin, epoxy, polyurethane, cellulose acetate and various biopolymers. In addition, systems formulated with KETJENFLEX® 8 show improved resistance to oils, solvents and moisture. KETJENFLEX® 8 has good UV and thermal stability. In Coatings, Inks and Adhesives it additionally acts as adhesion promoter.
