Moplen S38F is a homo-polymer designed for the production of biaxial oriented polypropylene films. Moplen S38F has been designed to provide a very stable extrusion on stenter and double bubble lines and to give excellent thickness control, increased draw ability and readiness to a two way orientation. BOPP films produced by Moplen S38F feature good mechanical properties, high impact strength and puncture resistance, even at low temperatures. The films form an excellent barrier against moisture, odours oils, fats and oxidation and feature high transparency, high gloss and good printability after corona treatment. Monolayer films made of Moplen S38F with a thickness ranging from 20 to 50 micron are used for food packaging, textiles packaging and flower wrappings. Monolayer films with a thickness of 25 to 45 micron find their major use in adhesive tapes.
