UNIGARD™ HP HFDA-1544 Natural is a flame retardant, peroxide vulcanizable polyethylene copolymer wire insulation material. It is recommended for use in 600 volt power cable and control cable applications and is suitable for 90°C service in wet and dry locations as covered by UL XHHW-2 or CSA RW-90. This compound has been designed to permit a broader processing temperature range to eliminate scorching in those extrusion systems where this has been a problem, and to reduce odors due to peroxide systems and reduce occurrence of die drools. Specifications HFDA-1544 Natural is Bulletinized by Underwriters Laboratories requirements for use in XHHW, XHHW-2, RHH, RHW, RHW-2, SIS, USE, USE-2 applications, and VW-1. This compound is also suitable for the Canadian Standards Association NMD-90 and RW-90 applications.&&
