About
VIBRATHANE 8585 is a polyester based, MDI terminated liquid urethane prepolymer that exhibits Chemtura’s advanced technology in this vital area of the polyurethane industry. This new prepolymer is highly unique in its resistance to heat aging and its uniform, predictable response to the addition of catalyst. (See figure 1). When cured with 1,4 – Butanediol, this member of the VIBRATHANE family produces high quality vulcanizates in the 85 Shore A hardness range. These tough, high quality elastomers are characterized by: High Tear Strength Excellent Abrasion Resistance Good Solvent Resistance VIBRATHANE 8585, at processing temperature, is low in viscosity and has a working life suitable for both machine and hand-batching procedures.&&
